I can play any of these characters if necessary.
UC Davis played University of South Alabama (USA) this past weekend. We lost on a last-second missed field goal. Did you know that this is only USA’s second football season? They just started playing last year, and they have not lost a game yet. USA have played all home games against community colleges and military schools, and playing UC Davis was their first real test (and only their second road game). They passed, it seems. Believe it or not, they are transitioning into the Sun Belt conference in a few seasons. No D3 for South Alabama, no sir. Straight to D1. Big time.
So why don’t we start our own football team? Is it that easy? Just play some teams about 4 rungs below you until you build up some confidence? Heck, I’ll play, as long as we are matched up against middle school kids. But not middle school kids from Texas, because they’re all bigger and faster than me and have scholarship offers from Bob Stoops. Anyway, then we’ll make a movie out of it.
