Oklahoma has jumped to the top of my rankings due to their strength of schedule. Boise State is starting to drop because they are playing such weak teams. No it’s not their fault, but to be number one you have to play a great schedule and win. Teams like Oklahoma, LSU, and Alabama have done that so far. LSU has barely won some games, but in these rankings, the margin of victory doesn’t matter.
After dropping two in a row, Texas has fallen to 39th. They are the third-highest 2-loss team, behind UCLA and Virginia Tech. They could very easily climb back into the Top 25 because a bunch of undefeated teams remain on their schedule.
