I know we’re only 7 weeks into the college football season, but we’re more than halfway there. So let’s take a look at potential matchups for the 2011 College Football Playoffs* (which, by the way, don’t exist).
*FYI, you can read about my playoff proposal [Part 1 and Part 2]–only change is that I now include 6 conference champs and 2 wildcards.
We still have a lot of games to play, so I’m assuming the higher-ranked teams win, and I’m guessing as to how far the losers would fall:

#7 Alabama @ #2 Oklahoma State (7:00 ET on ABC)
#6 Oklahoma @ #3 Boise State (10:00 pm ET on ESPN)
#5 Stanford @ #4 Clemson (12:00 pm ET on ESPN)
Ugh, that would be so boring. I would rather watch Navy and Eastern Michigan play a meaningless exhibition in Hawaii, am I right?
