I teach one of the few sports-connected classes at Santa Clara University. This is what my inbox looks like right after the first day of class registration.
And by the way, this is a not a humblebrag. If it is, it’s a pathetic one: “Oh hey students are trying to sign up for my course so that they can have enough units to graduate, I’m amazing.” They have to choose something.
I’m posting it to show that many college students are hungry for sports-infused curriculum, in part because sport is such a huge component of how many Americans live their lives, whether its from playing sports, watching games, or hearing sports-flavored communication (like metaphors) in their public and private lives, and that’s why for those practicing sports is good to get equipment for Sports & Safety while practicing.
