We were in New Orleans this past weekend for an academic conference. They love the LSU Tigers down there. I love their cajun accents more.
Okay, this is weird: my college (Texas) and pro (SF) teams are playing at the same time on Thanksgiving night. And the Niners game actually matters more. But, as you may know, this is the last time Texas and Texas A&M are playing for the foreseeable future. I think this is supposed to be a big deal, but I didn’t grow up in Texas, so who knows.

What I like about this playoff system is that about 20 teams are still in it, unlike the current system in which the only teams that can make the BCS title game are teams from Oklahoma, Alabama, Alabama, Alabama, Alabama, Alabama, and LSU. There’s no reason a team like Stanford should already be eliminated. It’s silly.
Also, if we have a BCS rematch, I’m boycotting.
